Two categories of grants amounting to €2.5k will be awarded to LUMOMAT labelled PhD students according to the criteria of excellence defined by the Research Commission and the EUR LUMOMAT Management Committee. These grants are complementary and can be combined:

1/Grant at the beginning of the thesis (after the trial period)

-> Student with a Master’s degree other than the LUMOMAT Master’s degree in chemistry: as soon as the thesis starts, the student’s academic file and CV are sent to the EUR project leader: Noémie Barbot by the student and his/her thesis director. All the applications are then sent to the Research Commission which proceeds to a ranking: the first two students ranked will receive this grant. The LUMOMAT Steering Committee will validate these grants.

-> LUMOMAT Master students: during the last semester of M2, LUMOMAT students can submit a file to the EUR project leader: Noémie Barbot . This file will be composed of the academic file, CV and the last theoretical results. On this basis, the Research Committee will proceed to a ranking and the first two M2 LUMOMAT students recruited for a thesis in a LUMOMAT partner laboratory will be eligible for a grant. The LUMOMAT Steering Committee will validate these grants.

2/ Scholarship during the thesis

-> At the end of the second year of their thesis, all LUMOMAT labelled doctoral students can put together a file before December 31, including their academic records, CV and their main achievements during their thesis (with communications, publications…). This file must be sent to the EUR project leader: Noémie Barbot. The Research Commission will proceed to a ranking and the two best PhD students will be awarded a grant. The LUMOMAT Steering Committee will validate these grants.
